a range of basic components for building musical instruments

In the beginning was Experimental Musical Instruments - an organisation devoted to unusual musical instruments of all sorts run by inventor, musician and scholar Bart Hopkin. In 1985 EMI started as a quarterly journal and became increasingly involved in producing a wider range of materials relating to musical instruments including instructional books, CDs and hardware supplies. Then, in 2014 Bart decided to downscale and pass the hardware supply part of EMI onto Paul WInstanley and pinpegpickups was created. pinpegpickups is dedicated to providing the same customer service and well-priced quality hardware that EMI did in helping people realize and build the unusual instruments of their imagination. Paul passed pinpegpickups on to Sudhu Tewari in October 2016 and from there to Bryan Day in January 2019. pinpegpickups is here to help you make your instrument ideas a reality!
